My PC can't record clips anymore but it was able to do it previously. What's the problem now??

After hard resetting my xbox one (holding down the power button on the console for 10 seconds) and rebooting, I am able to record clips again. The clips I had previously recorded remain lost, though.

And, just in case anyone else runs into this, I was not able to see the clips in Smartglass, either (and still can't see the missing clips), and I was set to Appear Online.

Same problem as mohanicus, recorded clips of bf hardline up to 2 days ago and then I can't save them anymore, I had a chat with 2 different persons here and one told me to reinstall the app, the other told me that they're doing maintenance on the upload
server. Our clips are like saved for as but not for the cloud and they don't exist outside our machines, that's why we can't save them, the error code we are getting is infact the same one when you try to play a clip you have deleted previously. We need a
fix to this, I don't know what's causing the problem though.

The auto record can be annoying. But what is bothering me the most is my "record that" feature won't record the sound anymore. Makes the clips much less interesting to me, especially on my battlefield clips.

From what I've read, recording game clips to SSDs means the Xbox needs to be able to use them as external media storage.

Because the update on the 23rd of August broke SSDs as media storage devices for Xbox consoles, that'd be why your game clips aren't being recorded.

I'd recommend submitting this as feedback through the 'Report a Problem' app (either installed on your Xbox, or available on the Microsoft Store if you don't have it). That seems to be the way that Xbox developers can best get information to work on a fix to the issue

I'm having the same issue and it's been that way for a month now. I previously recorded clips and gameplay at 4k/60 but now only 1080p and lower is working. I can't find any updates or notes that states why or that it even temporarily disabling that feature
