  1. My PC Audio jack is damaged. The PC speakers don't work anymore

    Hello.

Yesterday I found that my PC audio port (where one can plug in earphones) was blocked with something made from glass and I don't know how it got in there but anyways, as I tried removing it with a scewdriver, it ended up shattering to pieces and now the port no longer functions properly. When I plug in my earphones, the sound now comes only from one side instead of both sides although the earphones work normally when I plug them in another device. Also, my PC speakers do not work at all after this, even though when I open the volume mixer, I can see that the sound is there.

    Any solution?

    Thanks.

    :)

    Hi

What are you using for a display?

DIsplay port and HDMI carry audio. If your monitor has a 3.5mm audio jack you can plug your speakers into this instead of the PC audio out on the motherboard.

You could use Bluetooth speakers also. Failing this, you'll need the board replacing/repaired
Hello, thank you for the answer.

I did not understand your first question. I should also mention that it is a laptop (I don't use anything for the display other than the screen itself) and that the damaged port I was talking about is the 3.5mm audio jack. I am not sure that it is physically damaged because when I see inside of it with a flashlight I can still see a small piece of that shattered glass thing that is stuck deep inside of it. So maybe because of it, the earphones are not correctly detected and that is why I hear the sound only on one ear.

Does anyone know how to connect speakers to the Xbox series s with only just a monitor and no pc?

    Hi,

If you plug in headphones into the 3.5mm headphone jack do you hear audio?

Are you sure the audio volume is turned up on your monitor settings?

    What 'speakers' did you buy?

Most PC type speakers that connect via a 3.5mm audio jack should work. However, as the audio output port doesn't provide power, you'll need a set of powered speakers connected to the mains supply.

    HDMI with separate Audio?

My Speaker I use only have the Male Audio Jack.

The Ideal setup would be Xbox -> Astro Amp -> PC Speakers which i could switch between the 2.

i have my xbox series x and im using a game monitor that does not have speakers..is there a way to have sound thats not using headphones?

the monitor i buy was for use of a computer and i have a aditional speakers for the pc and now i want to use the same monitor for the xbox..
Your monitor should have a 3.5mm audio jack (most do). If you already have speakers that are connected to the audio out on your PC, disconnect them and plug them into the 3.5mm jack on the back of the monitor. This way you can enjoy sound from both your PC and your console via the same set of speakers, like you would if your display was a TV.

I would also increase the audio output on the monitor settings to 100% once the speakers are connected, they're usually defaulted to 50% and then adjust the volume via the speakers themselves.

@ngocphi: Most monitors, even the 'gaming' ones, don't generally have built in speakers.
