My password on Xbox 360 is not recognized.

My password on the Xbox 360 is not recognized at all! always says is wrong, but when I get on the Xbox website and it works perfectly in Outlook, I tried to change it by e-mail, but the Xbox is still the same, help me!

Help: Password reset not working

My old Xbox might have been registered but I dont know how to check that.

I think the frustrating part is that I can get a password reset via my back up email on the account but when I reset the password the new password isn't recognized.

 

Can't connect wireless to new belkin router

I have xbox 360 with built in WiFi

a belkin wireless N 750 dual band router

The console recognized the router, i put in my password but it does not connect.

The red X is right there at the console on the connection map.

I made sure the dhcp is enabled on the router, made sure the MAC adress of my console is allowed, triple checked the password

The PS# hooked up right away so I know the signal strength is ok,

what else can I try, is there a list of compatible or not compatible routers anywhere?

visit https://account.live.com and sign in, select "security and Password", you most likely will recieve a 2nd Login Screen. there is an Option "2step verification", either deactivate it or Setup an
app Password to use on your xbox360.

 

You can also try deleting your profile only (not profile and items) then clear the cache on the console three times, restart the console and then redownload your profile.

To clear the cache, head over to Settings>System>Storage then highlight the storage device, press Y and Clear Cache.

yes it is, you Need the app Password on your 360 instead of your common Password, or you deactivate it again

 

Also, you did not originally mention that your tag was not in your possession the whole time. If the link prideloss provided you does not work you will have to contact phone support to open an Unauthorized Access Ticket in order to completely free up your
