Warranties are for when a product fails through no fault of the customer (or relatives of the customer in this case). Say you got a new xbox, and 1 week later it just stops working, for no reason at all. That's where a warranty comes in. Any intentional
damage from an outside party won't cover that.

If it's still under warranty you should fill out the form
here, then print the label and ship it off. It's a pretty easy process.

If you have a receipt I'm sure it would still be under warranty. You can also register your xbox here to check if its still under warranty.

If your parents smashed your Xbox, unfortunately "physical damage" isn't covered underneath the manufacturers warranty. So unless you purchased some type of 3rd party insurance policy offered by the merchant that you physically bought your
console from, your basic 1yr warranty isn't going to cover it.

Typically the manufacturers warranty only covers anything that can be found as a defect within the systems internal functions or operations. Most signs of physical damage to the product will result in them voiding the warranty immediately.

Xbox here to find out if the warranty is still applied, I would look through the terms and conditions carefully of what can and cannot be returned. If physical damage i do not believe is warranted for warranty coverage.
