My outtake on mods on console.

As the title said this is my opinion and not hating on nothing so don't get it twisted. I think mods for console is a good idea but at the moment since it's only little baby steps into it I think they should remain on PC until the hardware on consoles is
a lot better then it is now. Games run and look beautiful on Xbox One & PS4 but at the moment since Fallout 4 is the only console game to have mods for it. The system doesn't seem to handle it too well. But of course that can change with a few updates and
tweaks etc.. but this present moment in time they should just stick to PC until the console is fully ready and 100% can handle it with out crashing 24/7. That's my opinion what's yours?.

    :)

    Favorite Game Outtakes

I remember when I was about 12, I got this amazing new game called Wolfenstein 3D. It was awesome. The graphics were amazing. You were looking through the characters eyes and you could see the gun in his hand as he ran around in a 3D environment killing
    nazi's.

I invited one of my friends over to show off my new game. But he was a couple years older than me and like many of you, he was a gaming hipster and was not impressed. I told him I bet this was going to be the new thing and we would start seeing more games
where you look through the characters eyes. He disagreed. Said "Nobody is going to be interested in that crap"

I tried to imagine what it would be like if we could get in there and fight each other. Each with different guns, hiding around corners waiting for the right time to pop out. He said it would never happen. People will have better things to do with technology
and no one will care about crap like that. He added me on Facebook a couple years ago. Apparently he's a Call of Duty kid now.

  4. My outtake on mods on console.

Like most things on console now, it seems that the players have become the testers. As with most games and updates, I usually wait a period before I download to see what trouble the community might encounter.

If people want to be guinea pigs for big business then let them. All the - unpaid - trouble they will go through with mods will greatly benefit the more patient of us who sit back and wait for the mess to be cleaned up.

I totally agree with you. I don't mind testing and giving my opinion on the product or update etc.. that's why I jumped in with the mods to see how it plays out. Same with the Xbox One experience where people who opt. in for it get the latest update on the
Xbox One before the public so I can tell a few friends what the next update is like. And now the mods have come out so I'd want to voice my opinion with how it is so others know when to wait or how it is before they try it. And I'm not saying I'm a guinea
pig I've opt. in for stuff like this since 2010 I've done it with the 360 and now the One.

  6. If you go in with open eyes and are willing to put up with teething problems then fair play to you. Too many people don't approach it that way and that is why there is so many complaints about games etc. There has to be a balance between a company's openness
    and a gamer's ignorance.

  7. Excellent opinion AToutDeMonde. Here's mine nothing unless you do a little upgrading "PC" is 100 percent ready for mods you have to do some updates ect. To get anything working. So with out putting it out there in the world and letting it run it's corse
with update along the way, you just may have never seen mods on the first run of consoles this generation. Don't forget we have PROJECT SCORPIO coming soon (Newer beefier Xbox) that may run like some of your high end PCs so MODs could be introduced to a ton
    more games then.

Yes I have heard about Scorpio but didn't watch it at E3 and the way I have read about it. The specs inside of it will run mods on it really well. It's just at the moment on the Xbox One the specs inside seem to struggle to handle big mods on Fallout with
crashing over and over. And even crashing before the game loads up so with this new Xbox version. Hopefully it's step in the right path for mods for console.

Mods are exactly that, modifications to games, some react well without complications but when combined with other mods you can sometimes get unexpected reactions and issues with performance and game play. With everything new its best to try taking it slow
and be ready to change things up a bit. you can bog down a power house of a pc with bad mod combos just as well as a console running new features like mods. not for everyone but a nice way to individualize your game.

I have sort of a mixed experience with the mods for Fallout 4.

Some of the mods are really nice and works very well. Like the unlimited weight mod. Thumbs up for that one.

Other mods resultet in Dog becoming invisible.

As long as the mods are free, and easy to install and remove I don't really see the big issue with mods being avaliable at the moment. People will be become better at making mods that runs well on the console as a result I think.

  12. i think its good because its an option and i belive that we need to have more freedomb and creativity intigrated for console players and if we dont start now then other bigger mods will be common in the future and then the console systems will have the same
    problems

My outtake on mods on console.

I totally agree with the original poster. at least until we get a better game save management. Having to rely on the cloud for a limited amount of game saves that we have the Fallout 4, we don't need them destroyed using mods. if we were able to back them
up to a flash drive specially since we lot of time into working in building our settlements all it needs is just one bad scenerio that could screw up all of our game saves and losing tons and tons of hours of work. that's what we get for relying on an online
backup system. My outtake on mods on console. :( it has already happened even before the mods were available, the mods are just making it worse. if we can't back up our game saves because they are afraid that we are going to cheat then why are they giving us the opportunity to have mods
that allow was to cheat? it doesn't make sense
