    My Original Gamertag

When I first got my xbox 360, one of the first people to buy one in my location, I made a gamertag that was one of the only three letter gamertags still available:
[Mod Removed]. At the time of it's creation the word/term had no meaning it was just a three letter gamertag that I made when I was around the age of 13. Unfortunately, about 3-4 years later I was forced to change my gamertag due to the term
being turned into something it was not via the internet. Causing people to threaten to report my gamertag if I didn't do there bidding. Simply because I had a three letter gamertag and they knew they could report it enough time and get me banned from using
the gamertag anymore. I feel the reporting system when referring to gamertags is unjust and unfair. As anyone can report your gamertag numerous times no matter what your gamertag is and get it removed.

I feel it was unfair to force me to change my gamertag simply because a few people reported my gamertag for being "offensive" simply because I would kill them multiple times in halo 3 matchmaking. Numerous times I can recall when people would threaten to
mass report my gamertag because I wouldn't let them get free kills on me? On top of this I've lost credit for many Halo 3 custom maps/game types I made. As the creator of the maps/game types still says
[Mod Removed]instead of saying my current gamertag.

I have come to these forums in search of someone that could possibly guide me in the right direction of getting my original gamertag back. I feel this gamertag was in no way offensive to anyone and was simply banned because people reported it to "get back
at me". I am willing to pay the fee of changing my gamertag back to my previous one.

Again I ask you, please let me have my original gamertag back. It honestly would mean the world to me if anyone could help me with this process or redirect me to someone who could.

    Many thanks, [Mod Removed]

    :)

    Original Gamertags

Do you guys have any tips to get original gamertags for xbox live. I've been reading a lot about how to get a OG tag but i was wondering how other do it. I know you can go to xbox.com and search to see what original gamer tags are available but really seems like their all taken. I've even read that people are actually paid to go out and search for these names. Whats your guide or way to get a OG gamertag? Personally i think their really isn't anyway to get these anymore. But if someone actually has a great way to do please share.

Gamertags are not changed because you have been reported numerous times. It only takes one valid complaint. You can be reported a million time but your tag will only be changed if it violates the code of conduct, which yours did. You can sign into
http://enforcement.xbox.com to see why it was changed and to submit a case review, but you will not be able to have it back.

Here are many other uses of the term: [Mod Removed]

To the person who replied, that's what I'm saying. The therm is not an offensive term, it was simply banned because of people reporting me because I had a three letter name. All it took was one person to pass it out of the thousands of times i was reported.

It doesn't matter how many times or why you were reported, all that matters is the enforcement team determined your gamertag violated the code of conduct. If nothing was wrong with it, nothing would have happened. The terms doesn't necessarily have to be
offensive in order to be changed. It just has to violate the code of conduct. It's also the last definition of the word that is why it violated the code.

This is the portion it violated:

What are examples of content that is prohibited in Xbox Live?

Content that is controversial. For example:

    • Sexual, provocative, pornographic, or adult content

It doesn't violate anything, if it never had of been reported nothing would have ever been done concerning it. The term had no meaning until 3 years after the creation of this account. THATS THE PROBLEM. You're not helping at all, only providing generic
    responses.

I've already told you where you need to go for an official answer, but they will tell you the same thing. The gamertag violated the code of conduct and that is why it was changed. Even if the meaning of the term changed, it does violate the code of conduct.

Sorry you're not getting the answers you want, but the only way to contact the enforcement team is by submitting a case review through that website. However, as I said, since the gamertag did violate the code, even submitting a review will not get you the
gamertag back. The site should show you why it was changed, but it will be for the same reason I've already told you.
