My old charge and play kit won’t work on my new Xbox series X controller

So recently i noticed my old play and charge kit was dying pretty fast and whenever i plugged it in to charge it would say it was fully charged already, which i knew it wasn’t. So i went out and bought a new one thinking that would fix the problem. Turns
out it doesn’t charge at all either. I don’t know what the problem is. The controller works fine if i leave it plugged in or put batteries in but it won’t charge with the play & charge kit for some reason.

Forgot to mention but everything is up to date, the console and controller.

Its an Xbox One X and a Xbox One Elite controller, a white one.

It seems u have a working controller.. May be the slot for the battery whuch supports play and charge kit isn't working and ur battery is not helping either.. If u have another controller try the kit on that and if the problem persists do send the controller
for repair ...

Xbox One accessories and peripherals will be compatible with Xbox Series X. As to whether the rechargeable battery packs are compatible with an Xbox Series X controller, that has not yet been revealed at this time, to my knowledge. However, the new controller
will use USB-C for its charging port instead of the Play & Charge Kit's Micro-USB plug.

I am are using play and charge kit on the xbox series x wireless controller it is are not official one but it is are working on the controller perfectly fine but the indicator does show medium battery level at all times and sometimes it does show fool battery level rather than that it is are working properly in the right way on the series x controller without any issues.

Same here, the exact same problem on my XBOX series X and S....

from 6 joysticks I have, only 2, elite 1 and and old xbox one s controller, without updated firmware, are working fine.

but all my fancy new Xbox series controllers are having this problem since past year and I was thinking the problem were my controller battery (I have the official charge and play battery on all my controllers)

hopefully they will address this soon...
