My new Xbox will not do its first update from when you first set it up

That is just a clip from xbox when you update the dashboard. It also happens when you purchase a xbox brand new and start it up for the first time.

WPA2 is good. Software updates are automatic and will also update when new games are put in or system is first set up.

Neither the xbox one x or the series x are online only consoles.

You do need to be online the first time you set up the console then once it's setup you put it into offline mode & you can use it offline.

Don't own a PS5 but i'm pretty sure you need to be online when first setting a PS5 up as well.

Modern consoles need software updates when you first set them up.

Could be up to about 4gb.

Difficult to say as it's a different update from the one I had when I got my xbox one.

Another thing to remember is that the majority of games will need an update as well when you play them for the first time & those updates can be anything up to 40gb.Most are no where near that big,depends on the game though.

If it's a xmas present i'd recommend getting all the set up & update process out of the way now as due to the volume of people downloading stuff on their new consoles on xmas day it can get quite slow at times.

Since update when I use voice comand "watch tv" it always asks me to re do all my tv set up like its the first time i've done it. bit annoying. how can i stop this?
