    My new Xbox One S controller is dead with 1 month of use.


    I purchased a Xbox one S this month. I have been using my controller without batteries, plugged with a usb cable. I did not turned on my xbox since last week. Today I got the controller to play and he was very hot in the area near the left pad and he did
    not turn on anymore. I saw more people with this problem on reddit.

    Whats is happening?

    The new Xbox one is overloading my controller trough the usb cable with energy even when I'm not playing nothing? How can I got a new one? I hope i don't need to buy a new one since it broke by itself with 1 month of use.

    I tried other usb cables, battery, power charge and nothing.

    This happened with the xbox powered off, with my controller connected on it by a usb cable (without batteries)

    The dead zone.

    I completely agree. I notice this on Shadow of Mordor (Windows 7 64-bit). It's an excessive amount of dead zone. I also compared this with my xbox 360 controller. The dead zone on the xbox 360 is smaller (better) than on the xbox one controller. And the
    360 controller I tested is brand new (less than one hour of use).

    Xbox One Elite Compatibility

    I'm curious if the Xbox One Elite controller is compatible with the new Xbox One S console. Also, are you able to connect original Xbox One controllers to the Xbox One S or is everything limited to the Xbox One S controllers because they use Bluetooth as
    the primary way of connection?

    Update: even not turning on, I plugged the controller on my PC with windows 10 by a usb cable. It don't work, but the controller start to heat again.

    Are These Fake or Genuine Xbox Series & Xbox One Controllers? And are They a Worthy Upgrades?

    Keep in mind there are new advanced controllers out now with ms seil ones coming in march

    The new repairable ones from pdp BFG PRO and stealth ultra have hall effects replacable parts and programmable buttons and a built in DAC

    Keep in mind these new controllers along with ms seil controllers require an custom adapter not Bluetooth for the new advance polling they use 1000dpi

    And no xbox 360 controllers dont use bluetooth you need a xbox wireless connector for pc

    Only xbox one s controllers do (the ones with a headphone jack on the bottom ) or the new series s/x controllers with share button and elites 1-2

    A series of actions you can take for if your controller is on the fritz

    drift is the only issue I've ever had, and it's very upsetting. Dead zone fixed the issue on my older xbox one controller but my new series x controller only lasted about 9 months and even I baby these things. They don't make them like they used to. I wish all I had was sticky buttons.

    Warranty period on xbox controller

    Controller gets a 1 year of warranty in EUROPE. I know that, because i bought my xbox One S in may of 2018 and on march of 2019 i sent it back the controller and got a new one.
