    Networking issue

    my WiFi works fine on any other device in my home however whenever I try to connect it to my Xbox the WiFi does not show up when it asks me to connect, all other WiFi connections around my area show up in my settings but not mine which means I cannot connect
    to the internet. If I specify my ssid it just says that it cannot connect to the internet of my WiFi please could someone either solve This problem or shed some light on what is happening so this can be rectified

    Xbox one wifi, desperate for help

    I've had my Xbox one for a little over a month and I just got home from vacation and I tried to play it but it reset my connection and now when I try to reconnect to my wifi the Xbox will shut off and reset itself every single time. I thought it was my power cord but I tried 6 different ones and I'm still having the same issue. I can play games offline but when trying to connect to the Internet and my wifi signal the Xbox will just shut off and turn back on with some weird Xbox starting screen

    Dude, It seems we have the same problem! Once I try to login into Xbox Live, it says I do not have a connection and when I try to connect through wifi, it does not show any wifi connections. What is wrong with the console?

    Go to the settings of your Xbox 360. There under the network settings go to the additional network settings and reset it to factory defaults.

    Then have the console search for WiFi networks in the area. Does the SSID of your new modem show up?

    If so, then provide the correct Passkey for the WiFi and connect.

    If the WiFi doesn't show up, check your WiFi router if you have 2.4GHz WiFi enabled. Also make sure that you don't use "exotic" characters in your SSID like Umlauts (ÄÖÜ) or accented characters (áèû) or stuff like that.

    Also could you please describe in more detail at what stage your console fails to connect when you do a connection test to Xbox Live?

    Does it see your WiFi SSID?

    Does it connect to the WiFi but not the Internet?

    Does it connect to the Internet but not Xbox Live?

    XBOX Remote Play not working over wifi

    Hi,

    that procedure does not work. Nothing happens if I start my xbox then press the power button for 10 secs. It just shutdown.

    Edit:

    I reset the console from Settings -> console info -> reset, keeping my games and saves.

    Remote play is already enabled. I try with my mobile connected to the same wifi and it does not work.

    I switch to 5G network and remote play works again.

    I am currently connected to xbox live with my son's old 360 but cannot connect with xbox1s, so much for new technology.

    Same problem here. My new xbox 360s connects to my network via internal wifi but it will not connect to xbox live. Everything else in the house connects fine. My xbox even connects when I plug in the old Adapter( from my last xbox) meaning the issue is with
    the internal wifi. This is one reason I bought a new xbox slim(internal wifi) this is BS!
