My new router wont connect to my Xbox Live

Its a brand new router only taken out off the box today. in response to vibroplex its not that i can't connect to xbox live its that my xbox wont connect to my router.

Hey SlinkyButton732! What do you receive when you test your network connection on the Xbox with the new router? If the older router is working, I would suggest trying a wired connection directly to the modem. If the modem connection works, you will know
for sure the issue is with your new router. If your new router is for sure the issue, you will need to contact your ISP for further assistance. Thanks!

im having the same problem. I find a signal (my router is in my livingroom) so the signal is 100%, but still it wont connect to it. I just get the "Can't connect to Xbox LIVE" message. My laptops and my PS3 are able to connect to the net, its just the xbox
that wont. I got the new Xbox360 with wireless net.

bump as it is still not working, I'd rather not have all my xbox live membership time running while xbox wont connect to my router at al

Good afternoon

try changing your xbox's IPV4 and IPV6 settings.

Power on your Xbox and press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Go to "Profile & system" and then select "Settings".

From the Settings menu, select "Network".

Under the Network menu, select "Network settings".

Select "Advanced settings".

Under the Advanced settings, select "IP settings".

From here, you can toggle between IPV4 and IPV6 settings by selecting the respective option and changing the settings as per your requirements.
