First , sorry for my approximative english , this is not my natural language because i'm french.

3 weeks ago i bought a headset for xbox one , but the headset is already down , when i speak to people, they doesn't hear me.

The shop where i bought my headset was Micromania ,they told me to send you a message or call so that you could change my disfonctionnal headset.

this is why i send you this message.

I'd say I'm down but my talkback cord on my turtle beach headset shorted out and I'm waiting on the new one to show up.

Cortana hearing other players

Sounds like Cortana is hearing voice commands through the headset which a new feature that was added with the update. Try turning down the volume a little on the headset so Cortana won't respond to what's coming out of the headset.

in the states, most store will let you return a defective item if it has been less than 30 days from the date of purchase. However, it's my understanding that Xbox accessories like the headset are

warranty for 90 days via Microsoft. But, may I suggest double-checking the headset with the steps outlined in "Set up and troubleshoot your Xbox
One Stereo Headset", before you elect to send in your headset for "Device repair" or replacement.

im just done with microsoft and xbox all together. they sell us these headsets that are built to break down as soon as possible so you can spend more money on their terrible product. i just went through 2 BRAND NEW headsets in a month. I take care of
everything associated with my xbox one system including my headset only to have them break down for no apparent reason. i just went to buy another one and was told they no longer make the original xb1 headsets and now i would have to pay $35 for an adapter
ON TOP OF whatever i have to pay for a new headset, its ridiculous. they are getting rid of the old ones and we are now FORCED to pay for an adapter. they are even making the new controllers to support a 3.5mm plug so those of us that have the original
controllers and headsets have to pay more money just to play with our friends. thanks alot microsoft. once the value of this system is completely diminished i WILL NEVER invest another dollar into a microsoft system.
