It's possible that the gamertag you're trying to use has been banned in the past, or previously belonged to a banned account. If that's the case, then it probably won't show up in gamertag searches, but I believe it won't be usable unless Xbox releases the
gamertag itself. They put a whole bunch of gamertags back into the pool a couple of years ago, those belonged to banned accounts and inactive accounts. Maybe the gamertag you're looking for will be in the next batch of tags released back into the pool, we
