My Nephew is getting an Xbox One for Christmas

Hello all,

My nephew, who is 12 years old, is getting an Xbox One for Christmas. He's getting the 500 GB Minecraft bundle, along with I believe a few other games. I discussed getting him an Xbox One for Christmas with his parents, and so far they've okay'ed the idea.
However, he suffers from severe Asperger's syndrome and has even one stolen his mother's credit card to buy things on the android app store. That was all a while ago, but his behavior has greatly improved and of course we've seen the improvements. He also
does very well in school grade wise, so we thought this would be a reward to fit the progress. We are still a little concerned about letting him have his own Xbox One console, and have some questions that we're hoping we can find answers to.

Q1) We are also buying him an Xbox Live 1 year membership gift card. Will we need to register a credit card with his account in order to activate it?

Q2) Since he is a child, will another adult account have to be tied to his?

Q3) Will said adult account have the ability to choose what games and apps he can or can't play?

Q4) If so, can said privilages be decided about on the computer or on the Xbox One console?

Q5) Can the Privacy Settings on the Xbox One console be password protected so that he can't change them?

Q6) Can his ability to add friends also be locked behind inputting a password?

Q7) He likes racing games both realistic and cartoonish-style like Hot Wheels. Any recommendations for his age range?

I bought my Xbox one two weeks ago and it's still in the box...

I pre-ordered my Xbox One from Gamestop when it was first announced and I wound up getting one for free which is going to my little nephew. I wrapped it up with Christmas wrapping paper that I found that says your going to effin love this gift, LOL!

Q1) No you will not be required to have a credit/debit card info on file. You may pay with a variety of options including Prepaid Cards (In - Store) as well as paypal, and Direct Debit Pay (Germany Only). If you are worried about child gaining access to

Q2) Yes an adult account will be required to moderate features for said child.

Q3) Yes the adult account will have full control over access to the child's account. Including Game & Content Restrictions. You can even prevent the child from using any payment methods connected to the account if you do wish to add card to the account.
