    My NAT Type is almost always moderate


    So since i got Xbox one for Christmas my NAT type has almost always been moderate and only seen it open about once. When i had xbox 360 it was always open. So far i have forwarded the ports listed. My router and internet provider is Verizon Fios...should
    say gateway instead of router. I am wired right into my gateway too. Anyone have some insight to this? I feel this is also why my netflix on xbox one is so bad always looks grainy. But when i use my Roku on the same network upstairs that is wireless.

    Please Help! Would Sattelite Internet Work?

    It'll "work" but it'll require work. Your NAT type will almost always be moderate and you'll have high ping.

    Xbox one nat type strict

    Why is my xbox one nat type always strict? It's never strict on my 360, in fact it's hardly ever even moderate.

    My NAT Type is almost always moderate

    go to settings then networkthen go to test multiplayer connection then wait for to do its thing after that don't press anything. Then hold the left and right bumper and a left on red sugar at the same time. After that is screen should pop up under detail
    that it should have three dots and wait for the words to appear. Then if it still says if you have restricted Press B then hold down the left n right bumper and left n right trigger again and wait for the same screen until it says detailed NAT is open or cones.

    Yeah i have done this and sometimes it changes it to open and other times not. I still don't really think it is a fix more just a glitch....idk why my netflix is streaming so slow then when it is wired to my router but my Roku which is upstairs in my room
    is streaming perfectly...still i think something is wrong with my xbox one connection

    I have the same problem. Always have moderate or strict nat type... I have tried to fix it on my computer's settings, but nothing changes. I need to fix my nat type dammit and i'm not a computer whiz so I'm lost!!!

    I forgot to mention that. I live in a dorm so I just plug straight into an ethernet port in my wall, so I don't have a modem or router. I have a strict NAT and it's been strict since the semester started. I actually don't remember if my NAT was always strict,
    but I'm almost certain it's usually been moderate. The strange thing about it is that my ping and internet speeds are much better this semester than they ever have been, yet my NAT type is strict and I have the frequent disconnections.
