My name was changed to BigJoey. My name is Louis

I posted on this forum about 4 days ago and I got no reply. My name was changed without my knowledge while on my Xbox. I later found out that this was due to my name being offensive. After spending more than 2 hours speaking to someone who eventually just
closed their chat with me and connected me to someone else, i was told how to post on this forum. Although i understand why my name was changed but i don't like the fact that I have to pay to change it again. One of my friends had their name banned by Microsoft
and wasn't allowed to come online until he changed it, which was free. I'm just wondering if i do or don't have to pay to change my name as for the past four days I've been walking around being called Joey and even on some cases being called fat by some 5
year old trying to impress his friends. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you can do something to help me.

I guess a bonus though if your name is really Joe

 

That's was really a long time ago when the paid free gamerrtag changes were given

And no as per the terms of use if you want the right to use another name again you must pay and comply with the terms of use

Multiple forced name changes will only lead to a ban of your account

 

I believe the reason why they did this is because people who had bad gamertags simply used the free change to make it another obscene or illegal gamertag.

 

You have two choices at this point: pay to change your gamertag or keep what you have. But in the end you need to follow the Terms of Use and Code of Conduct.

They changed my name as well...one I held for 9 years...we see how Microsoft treats it's customers that have had the name from the Xbox, Xbox 360 and now the Xbone...as in now Xbox bones you...thanks buttheads.

 

And by the way...I find whelp much more offensive then the [Mod Removed] that I used to have

And you think 'pimp' to be apporpriate for all ages? I wonder what world you're living in. Regardless it doesn't matter how long you've been loyal to Xbox/Xbox LIVE, you pick an inappropriate gamertag and it's been brought to their attention and they find
it inappropriate then that's what you'll get. Any reference relating to anything sexual won't be appropriate for all ages, and believe it or not as you may know younger people use the Xbox LIVE service too. Only takes one person to raise it to their attention.
You can be a customer for a thousand years and the outcome would be the same. The Code of Conduct applies to everyone and calling Microsoft 'buttheads' really tells a lot about your personality. So you might have annoyed the wrong person and they brought it
to their attention. I think in the near or distant future if you do not want to have it forcefully changed 'again' then you should refrain from any references that could get your gamertag banned, or quite simply anything that violates the Code of Conduct.

Best of luck PrettyWhelp1097 - By the way, you do know that a definition of Whelp can be a puppy right? I'm pretty sure you know a puppy is an animal (a pet). How can you compare an adorable animal to a sexual reference? I think you need to grow up a bit
and try pick a gamertag for personal choice that you'll like, rather than to pick one to try so hard to get a laugh from people online. It may work out better for you in the long run because it may just avoid any future bans.
