My Modern Warfare (2019) is not updating after install.

I'm having the most aggravation I've ever had with my Xbox. I'm trying to install Modern Warfare 2019, however, I keep having issues with this update. Once the main game and pack (Multiplayer, spec ops, ect.) I'd open the game to be greeted by an Xbox screen informing me that the game needs an update, so i pressed yes and walked off. I came back a good hour after to see it was still at 0.0. I was confused, eventually the update stopped and i was lost. I uninstalled the game and packs but as soon as it was done i was met with the update that never updates, i've tried EVERYTHING, i've uninstalled, restarted and unplugged. I am currently trying again, I held the power button for 8 seconds and restarted and i deleted 2 games and cleared the persistent storage on Blu-ray. If this doesn't fix the problem, idk what will.

Hi @anbuj001

You get the "Oops.not sure what happened here. Please try again later." when you try and install the multiplayer pack from within the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 game. This is the error I was getting. If you close the window you will see the dreaded PILUM error code!

So as per my post, you need to navigate to the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 game in the Xbox game store, choose the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare - Digital S..." edition and then scroll down to the "In This Bundle" portion.

Then choose the multiplayer pack for Call of Duty Modern Warfare and install that.

The reason for the error is because Call of Duty Warzone versions have been updated, but the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2019 game multiplayer included version link has not, hence the error you get.

Please try the following steps one at a time to resolve the issue:

Solution 1: Do a power cycle to clear the cache of the console

1. Turn off the Xbox console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds until it shuts down completely.

2. Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

3. Plug the console power cable back in.

4, Press the Xbox button on your console to turn on the Xbox console.

Solution 2: Try setting up manual DNS settings then update the game.

1. Please go to Settings > Network > Advanced Settings > DNS settings >> manual

2. Primary DNS: 208.67.222.222

3. Secondary DNS: 208.67.220.220

Solution 3: Please try setting up a mobile hotspot connection using your phone, then connect the console to the hotspot connection. Try updating the game and see if it works.

Solution 4: Do a factory reset

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select System > Settings > System > Console info.

3. Select Reset console.

4. Reset and keep my games & apps.
