My modern warfare 2 game just stays on the the press a to start screen

I tried absolutely everything that almost every forum suggested, including this one. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game, power cycling, starting up Warzone and then adding the disc in after Warzone loads, updating firmware on my controller, trying both disc and digital download, etc. I finally found a solution that worked for me!

Remove all Xbox accounts from the system and then add your account back in that you want to log in and ultimately play with.

After adding your Xbox account back onto the console, restart the console all together. Fire up MW2 and everything loads beautifully (at least for me).

I have reported a problem. I am having this same issue. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the game, features and add one multiple times. I have cleared cache, and did a reset of my xbox one with no resolution of the issue. I am able to access and play war zone when the disc is not inserted into my xbox. I am also able to access campaign mode with the disc inserted while my xbox is in “offline” mode.

Same thing happened to me today bro, it won’t let me play it. same happened with mw2019 I haven’t been able to play that game either, it’s been a year I think and no solution

Seriously this issue currently has over 17,000 views.
