My Minecraft Won't Let Me Play

I bought minecraft a while back (maybe earlier this year), i've taken a break from it and now I want to play again. The problem is that my minecraft launcher keeps saying "buy now" or "play demo" even though I already bought it. Also, everytime i check my purchases, it never says when I bought minecraft. I am on a macbook air. I tried logging in with a mojang account even though i know i don't have one, whenever i go to minecraft.net it always says to buy and none of my owned games are on the list. UPDATE: I just re-downloaded and it still doesn't work.

Were you able to migrate your Mojang account for Minecraft to a Microsoft Account? If yes, kindly try to access this page then try to log in using the Sign in with Microsoft option: Log in | Minecraft.

If not and you are still using the Legacy Minecraft Account, please consider migrating your account to a Microsoft Account for added security. See: How to Migrate a Legacy Minecraft Account to a Microsoft Account – Home for details.

Based on your description, you are trying to play Minecraft and it is showing you need to buy it or play demo version. Let us check on this together and sort this out in timely manner.

We know how important it is for you to get back to gaming especially this holiday season. Let us first, locate the account that was associated to your game in Minecraft's website (https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/login). Please select the green button on the page and sign in with your Microsoft account. Then, check if the license of the game is available on the page.

You will then, ensure that you have the right credentials because you will need to sign out on Microsoft Store, Xbox app and Minecraft Launcher. Update the Xbox app, Gaming Services and Minecraft Launcher. Lastly, sign in to Microsoft Store, Xbox app and Minecraft Launcher to see if your issue on the game fixes.

Child's account cant view their privacy settings an adult is required to add him to a Microsoft family here

After the adult account creates the family and adds the minor's account to his family In order for you to be able to play multiplayer, you must change the privacy settings of your account. It can be done here
