My Minecraft chat is blocked despite it being enabled

I do understand the urgency of you wanting to find other ways for this issue of yours in regards with unable to chat on Minecraft. We are very glad to help you out to find some of the best possible options and troubleshooting's that we can provide for you.

We just want to set your proper expectations on this that if ever issue do still persist, perhaps there might be issues that your account might have been banned due to communication. Thus, unable to use the chat on Minecraft. Nevertheless, there are other ways we can isolate on this one as well.

To get started, I'd like to ask a few questions to better understand the problem that you're facing:

• Are you playing Minecraft on an Xbox Console?
  
• Are you playing Minecraft on PC?
  

If you are playing Minecraft on a console, please follow these steps:



1. Go to the Xbox Privacy and online safety settings and make sure that the "Communicate with voice and text" option is set to "Everybody".

2. Restart your console and launch Minecraft.

3. Check if the chat is now working.



If the issue persists, you can try clearing the cache on your console. Here's how:



1. Press and hold the power button on your console until it turns off completely.

2. Unplug the power cable from the back of the console.

3. Wait for 10 seconds, then plug the power cable back in.

4. Turn on your console and launch Minecraft.

5. Check if the chat is now working.



If you are playing Minecraft on a PC, please follow these steps:



1. Open the Xbox app on your PC and sign in with your Microsoft account.

2. Click on the Settings icon (gear icon) on the left-hand side of the app.

3. Click on the "Privacy & online safety" option.

4. Make sure that the "You can communicate outside of Xbox Live with voice & text" option is set to "Allow".

5. Restart your PC and launch Minecraft.

6. Check if the chat is now working.



If the issue persists, you can try resetting the Xbox app on your PC. Here's how:



1. Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box.

2. Type "wsreset.exe" and press Enter.

3. Wait for the command to complete and the Xbox app will reset.

4. Launch Minecraft and check if the chat is now working.



In addition, you can as well try to click on the other tab on the Privacy & Online Safety on Xbox privacy settings besides PRIVACY, and try to click and choose all to ALLOW. And from there, relaunch, sign out-sign in back in on the launcher and try to see if the chat might be now enabled.

A few people have had trouble with this. Just remember that at present the service is being used with lots of new people. I had a problem with my ad block and silverlight not connecting with the chat window. Maybe try turning off ad blocker if you have it
enabled.

Hi, this had no effect whatsoever. My Party Chat is still not being picked up using the Twitch app despite there being the option to control party chat volume on the Twitch app
