My microphone won’t record my voice

My headset has been working great for a year now but as of today my mic won’t work, I can hear everything fine but people can’t hear me. It says it detects the mic but no sound comes through it. I’ve tried everything that I could look up already, resetting my Xbox, hard reset and power cycling it, my nat type is open and my connection is wired and at high speed, I’ve changed controllers and updated them I’ve unplugged and plugged the mic back in. I’ve used different mics and headsets. I cannot seem to get it to work. And no I’ve not got anything muted I checked 20 times in settings and on the controller/headset

After all you have mentioned the only option left it's that the problem it's the account, check a different account with the same device, as you have discard all other possibilities

If another account works, that would mean that you have a problem on the privacy settings

Hi, thanks for responding so quickly. I tried what you recommended but it still didn’t work. I also checked my settings and all seems to be in order. If it helps I was able to talk fine the day before and I logged off but when I next got back on it wouldn’t record my voice.

There are just few possibilities for this

1.- The headset has issues ( you discard this by testing different ones)

2.- controller jack issues ( you discard this by trying different controllers)

3.- privacy issues ( you discard this by checking the settings on the provided link)

4.- enforcement action active on the account ( you won't be able to connect to Xbox party)

I found the "problem" apparently if I am in game chat and I make the clip it does not record the voices, but if I remove my microphone from the controller the clip records everything, including the voices of my friends, in any case I cannot play without
microphone, I think it's an audio problem, because I hear the volume of the game on TV and headphones but I only hear chat from the headphones, so what can I try in the settings?
