my Microphone on my headset

My mic is very loud and my controller is wired.

My friends say it is super loud and hurts their ears so does anyone know what to do about it?

Also i dont know if this helps but i can hear myself talk in my headset because of how loud the mic is too when i am in an xbox party

I have two headsets and it is the same on both, when I plug them in it only still shows me using the default microphone and speakers but still connects the speakers to my headset but not my microphone.

Hi, as far as I'm aware, there isn't currently a way to alter the microphone sensitivity. However, the headset you use isn't an official Microsoft Xbox headset, so perhaps it's the hardware in that microphone/headset that makes it so sensitive, my Xbox headset
is just fine.

There are a few things you can try:

1. Move the mic further away from your mouth.

2. Under audio options turn mic monitoring down.

3. Ask your friends to turn their volume more towards game audio instead of chat audio. Also found under audio options.

Hi there, just wondering if you can put a splitter cable into the controller adapter and plug in a separate microphone to your headset because the microphone which I have in my headset is not good enough.

The headsets are compatible with the Xbox. I have used Xbox microphones as well as third party microphones that all work on other devices. I should also note that I can hear everything on the headset, but i cannot be heard on my headsets.
