My microphone is transmitting noise only in Xbox App

Hi. My kid is having this issue: on Windows 10 in the XBOX application, his microphone is transmitting noise (garbage) and no one can here him.

When he launch XBOX APP, than he create a group, we see his game tag with COLORED ring all around it, like he is always talking. before this bug occur, the COLORED ring was only flashing when he spoke.





Tests I did:

- If we test this same setup in skype: it work.

- I did tried to lower the "microphone amplification" in Windows setting: same problem.

- I did tried to plug the headset/mic in the back of the PC: same problem.

- I did tried another microphone, same problem.

- I did installed the latest Windows update; a big one: same problem.

- I did uninstall all the applications related to the sound (Teamspeak, Clown skype, etc.) that I know.

- I did tried to uninstall undesired programs and did a Malwarebyes to clean.

- I did tried another PC (an high end notebook) with built-in speaker/microphone: it work.

- I did tried another PC (a standard notebook) with built-in speaker/microphone and removed antivirus and firewall: same problem.

All these tests where made in the same network behind the same router.

Your help will be REALLY appreciated; my kid is going crazy by not being able to speak while he plays !?!?

Incredibly loud noise coming from party chat.

Last night when I joined a party with my friends, they told me to leave immediately because I was causing an insanely loud noise. They described it as "an air horn mixed with static." I could never hear this noise but I could see that the ring around my
player icon was constantly lit up meaning I was constantly generating this noise. I tried multiple other apps like Skype and Discord but the Xbox app is the only one that has this problem. I joined a party on my own and tried many things to eliminate this
noise including:

Unplugging my microphone and headset. The noise persisted regardless of whether or not I actually had anything plugged in.

Checking my drivers and Xbox app. All of them were up to date.

Downloading the Xbox app Beta.

Uninstalling and reinstalling my Xbox app multiple times.

Adjusting microphone setting in the Xbox app.

Adjusting microphone setting on my PC.

Plugging in different microphones.

Nothing made any change at all. I was using the party chat feature just fine the day before yesterday (Nov. 15) without issue but now party chat is simply impossible for me to use. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'll gladly provide any more information
if it will help.

 

My mis keeps on making a buzzing noise that my friends hear

hey when i join a party on the xbox app my friends keep hearing a loud noise and its nothing todo with my microphone its something todo with the app because it doesnt make the noise on discord help!!!!

 

Same issue here waiting for the patch
