My mic has a static sound in the background and sometimes just plays constant static

Solution 1:

Step 1. Press and hold the Xbox button on the console for at least 10 seconds to open the Power center.

Step 2. Then unplug the power supply from your console and wait for 3 minutes.

Step 3. Plug the power supply back into the Xbox console.

Step 4. Press the Xbox button on the console to turn it on again.

Solution 2:

Press the Xbox button  to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

On the Reset your console? screen, you'll see three options:

Select to keep your games and apps so they are not deleted in the process. Make sure you know your email and password as they will be removed from the console and will need to be added again.

Have you tried updating the firmware of both the controller and headset? If you haven't yet, please try updating it with your headset adapter attached. Then, make sure your headset adapter is firmly plugged into your controller and that your headset's 3.5mm cable is securely plugged into the headset adapter. If the issue persists, try your headset with another device (Like a cell phone) to see if the issue continues to occur. Also, try your headset and headset adapter with another controller. (Make sure the additional controller has been updated)

Power cycle to your controller :

1. Press and hold the Xbox button for 5-10 seconds, until the controller turns off.
   
2. Wait a few seconds, then press and hold the Xbox button again to turn the controller back on.
   

Update the controller:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Under Profile & system, select Settings.
   
3. Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.
   
4. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select “…” to check the firmware version for your controller.
   
5. If it says there’s no update available, your controller is current. If it says “Update,” follow the steps provided.
   
6. Once your controller is updated, disconnect the USB cable and try connecting wirelessly again.
   

Check the controller's button mapping setting:

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
   
2. Under Profile & system, select Settings.
   
3. Under Devices & connections, select Accessories.
   
4. On the Xbox Wireless Controller screen, select Configure.
   
5. Carefully review the current mapping for each of the buttons on your controller. You can also select Restore to default to set the controller back to its original button mapping.

so hear is the deal guys. i was in beta. the small pops is a problem with the sound codec. it was constant through the beta. I think the static when you hear people speak it the mic being too close. on my xp400's i was almost eating the mic on the x07's
i have it away from me a bit more. just keep chatiing until you don;t get the static. I hope it gets better eventually it has to.

First go into the console sound settings and make sure that the background ratings sound is switched off.

If that is switched on it can cause an annoying sound in the background.

Although I think I sometimes hear a faint static sound for split second on dashboard but I really have to listen for it.

One more thing, when recording videos with my microphone on, there's a static noise in the background, but when talking to my friends through the same mic it's clear. Can this problem have anything to do with the input lag. And this is just a small detail, no need to start helping with the static noise, just a detail, or maybe a clue.
