my messages wont load

for some reason i just constantly get a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark and then in yellow writing "we were unable to get your recent messages. Please try again later" and a spinny circle beside it. this has been going on for a while now and it
hasnt been a big issue however one of my friends bought me a game and i get that through messages from Xbox Live, though due to the issue im having i cant receive the game. There's two was you can fix this, either get my messages to load or give me a code
for the game my friend so graciously bought. thank you.

Xbox one my messages wont load

i cant view my messages on my xbox one they wont load , when someone sends me a message it wont load it ethier i can only send messages out through the person profile/ send message

It wont load my messages

It wont load my message's it has The loading symbol (The circle continually spinning)

I have reset my internet/router

Deleted the msg and they rea-a-pear

And i cant read any msg i get plz help

Sorry to hear it. Please try deleting your gamertag then hold the power button on the console for 10 seconds till it shuts down. When it restarts you can redownload your tag and hopefully that will have fixed the issue.

In the meantime you should be able to check messages here Sign in to your Microsoft account

Maybe it is in your friends settings? Before you send and receive messages, also referred to as chats, consider choosing who can communicate with you by text and voice—on Xbox Live and in multiplayer
games outside of Xbox Live. Do this by pressing the Xbox button  on
your controller to open the guide, and then selecting System > Settings > General > Online
safety & family > Privacy & online safety > Xbox Live privacy > View
details & customise > Communication & multiplayer.
