My mates account is blocked all of a sudden

Hi all,

My friend turned on his xbox one last night to find out his account has been blocked due to several failed login attempts.

He has told me that he has not tried to log into his account with the wrong details (had the account years)

He has gone through the reset procedure and the alternative email address seems to have been changed to one he does not recognise.

He has been on chat with support to no avail and has been told he may have to wait 30 days for the account information to be reset.

He has tried the security form which asked for name, address etc and to state any previous passwords which he has done, also it asks for any sent email details, however he doesn't email from his live account as it was just purely set up for xbox 360 and
then xbox one. He has had a reply from this form saying due to lack of information they cannot proceed.

obviously he is not happy with this, why should he have to wait 30 days for something that is not his fault. He cannot use his xbox one now because of this, refuses to have to create a new account etc...

How can we get this resolved like today? Is there a phone number to talk to a human being?

my account isn't there?

its telling me that all the save games associated with my profile are corrupt, but why is my account all of a sudden missing??

Can’t Unmute or Unblock

All of the sudden, my friend just got blocked and muted. I never blocked or muted him. I spoke to an ambassador, and the problem was resolved. Then, in mid sentence, it happened again. When I click unmute nothing happens. The block/unblock button seems to
be working fine. Any help?

update.. we managed to reset his password as it gave us the option to send a code to his mobile phone. we have input this code.. then we log in, it accepts his password.

Then it says have you tried to reset already, we say yes.. then it comes back and asks to verify his old email address AGAIN, this is the one that we don't recognise, this is all that is stopping us now and very frustrating.

Mine worked fine for months, I don’t get why all of a sudden it’s like it’s blocked.

I am having close to the same problem. My mate moved in with me and we both set our Gamertags to my home Xbox so he could have his games again. I was able to play them on my account one night, then the next I wasn't. It began asking me to insert a disk (all
games were purchased digitally) and all of a sudden my Gamertag isn't linked to my home Xbox, nor can it be!

So this is a block on my Xbox Live account, not on my creditcard? That's what I thought when I read the mail, but on billing.microsoft.com I don't see anything strange. Nowhere it says that there is an unpaid purchase or something. Nowhere it talks about
500 points that haven't been paid yet.

Guess I will call customer support then. I still think it's weird that everyone is having this problem all of a sudden. Most people did the same as me: they bought a certain amount of points, and they wanted to buy more right after that but that didn't work.
Do they all have a blocked Xbox Live account?
