My mail is linked to two xbox/microsoft accounts.

If I open the Minecraft launcher, I am automatically logged in to my first account. This is the only place I can see this account. If I try to log in or press "manage profile", I am asked to log in with my e-mail adress. I do this, and the result is that I am logged into my second account. It seems that both of these are linked to my one microsoft account, so I can't delete the one without deleting the other.

There is no way that I can manage or change anything on my first account, since I am always redirected to the second. If i try to log into minecraft with my second one, it tells me to buy minecraft, so I know that these accounts aren't the same one.

I am trying to play with mods, but can't log into other launchers on my first account.

A potential resoning for this problem is that my first account was connected to another account before, and that my second account always has had this email adress.

My problem is that the launcher can't distinguish between the two accounts, and automatically prioritises the second one.

How can I fix this?

That is unacceptable functionality. I opened my Xbox Live account over 10 years ago. Microsoft expects me to abandon all of the content I have associated with that gamer tag to link to a Microsoft e-mail? Microsoft must provide a solution. I should
be able to link my Microsoft e-mail with my Microsoft Xbox Live account...common sense here.

Just to clarify is the issue that you have two Epic (Fortnite) accounts that are linked to two different Outlook e-mail addresses, and the epic account that is currently linked to your Xbox is the incorrect one?

I have two e-mails that this confirmation can be sent to. They are both valid and I use them often. I've tried the one that's directly linked with my Microsoft account with no luck and the alternative e-mail and had the same results of no e-mail received.
I've always had my number linked with my account, but recently it has shown up with the "Can we use this info to help protect your account? Look for the instructions we've sent you at..." at the top of my security info page. I received the Live message in
my inbox stating Microsoft was going to be requiring use of two proofs and that I could go into my settings and add one, so I'm unsure if my account needs the number or not, which is why I'd like to confirm it to be safe since that's the easiest way to contact
me if it were necessary. Yes, I am the only person using the e-mail linked with my Microsoft account. Is there any specific area of Microsoft that needs contacted with this, as there really isn't a whole lot of contact info found in the immediate area of
dealing with the security info.
