My Lovely Pricey Elite Controller lasted just 6 months...

Do not buy this device. The design and expanded control options are great but it succumbs to THUMBSTICK DRIFTt like a cheap knock-off from the late 90s. How can Microsoft do this? I payed considerable coin for it and I was happy doing it...and I really liked
playing Rainbow SIx SIege with it.

But this? Useless after 6 months....Microsoft/Xbox/Awesome Phil Spencer should be ashamed of themselves. Really, they should. The modules are the same crap as on the regular controller,

Xbox one elite controller rubber grips coming off

i haave 2 elite controller and both are doing thoa the rubber grips have started coming off. The first lasted almost a year but this second has only lasted a few months.

Wireless receiver suddenly not working

i recommend you buy a wired USB controller as my second wireless one did the exact same thing as the first. they both only lasted 3-6 months before the green light just stopped coming on.

If it is indeed only 6 months old then you can visit
devicesupport.microsoft.com and your controller should be replaced for free.

I too had some thumbstick drift in a few FPS games, I had the stick curves/settings (via the accessories app) set up a bit too high/severe.

Once I lowered them slightly I no longer experienced any drift.

Hope you can either sort it out via the app, or get yourself a replacement controller soon!

I love my Elite but it has it's issues (granted it's like 2 years old/loose grip hit like 6 months ago but the drift started last month). My Elite is probably my only controller without bumper issues. I'm excited for the 2 to release. I'm sure we'll get
some more info before release.

You can try the Elite controller series 2. It's pricey but that's the better option.

First the elite is hecka pricey compared to a normal controller. But the elite controller is fully customizable for your own comfort.

I rock the elite controller, I like the little bit heavier feel in my hands & love the additional triggers that you can use on the back - granted that's a pricey option but well, if you want quality you pay for it!
