My licenses are stuck on another xbox

this is pretty irritating, so im hoping I could get help with this. I had game shared with my brothers xbox and my cousins xbox at least once. Eventually I ended up switching back. So just today I bought a new xbox one because I gave my old one to my mom
for netflix, hulu, etc. but now my licenses are stuck on that xbox. My other brother cant access any of my games. Is there a way I can get Microsoft to let me put it back to my home Xbox this one time. I had no idea it was only three times before it locked
but now i know.

Redownloading a purchased game

Hi if you downloaded it on another xbox, did you transfer the license? If not are you trying to play it while conected to xbox live. As if the license is on another console you will need to be connected to be able to play.

license transfering

i have a question about license transfering.

i have 2 xboxes (1xbox slim and 1 xbox fat). my main account is on both xboxes. my licenses are tied to my xbox slim. when i download DLCs on my xbox fat is that ok? or is this against the rules because it is on both HDDs? or is it only against the rules when
i would play with another account on my xbox slim? my xbox slim is broken so I am playing with my fat again. But I do not want to transfer my licenses because I want to buy another slim and do not want to wait 3 months then. But I would do it if there is any
risk. So what am I allowed to do? Do not want to get any problems cause of license sharing. MS has weird definitions so I have to ask.

Hi there!

Like you said, there is indeed a three time limit, but this is only per year. Once it has been a year, you will be able to transfer again.

However, you may have to contact Xbox Support directly on this issue, but unfortunately there isn't a big chance of them being able to reset this, and you may have to wait until a year has passed.

If you call support 18004myxbox support can reset the counter back to zero so you can set your console as your home console

On top of all that I described before, I have 2 Windows licenses under my primary account. If MS would just be able to transfer all that to another account, then I see how it would work. Otherwise I am stuck.
