My Kinect's Microphone won't work on Ghosts? any thoughts as to why?

I can only get it to work as of right now on Killer Instinct, I've also tried on Titanfall and Battlefield 4 and neither work as well. All of these are Disc Based games besides Killer Instinct, of course.

No sound through headset?

I had the exact same problem. At first I thought the mic was working, but later realized that my friend was hearing me through the Kinect's microphone. I tried switching the headset to my second controller, but then at some point both my controllers stopped
working too.

You mean that if you use a headset and microphone instead of the Kinect's microphone that the Kinect's noise filtering not only works fine, but basically becomes irrelevant? No ***?

I made a mistake in my post. No additional microphone is needed, just the headset. The microphone you would use is the Kinect microphone, because it'll give you the additional option to use the voice commands (without any interference from you TV, since
that sound will be filtered through your headphones). I mistakenly mentioned the microphone because I have it on my TB headset, even though I don't actually use it (it can be unplugged). Also, there was no need to be insultingly rude - that doesn't help anything
or anyone; it only serves to make you look bad. Don't do that.

 

From day one, the Kinect voice chat has not worked with Ghosts, unless if you are in a party. Any party disabled game modes will kick you out of party chat or now allow you to play the mode. There is no game chat option to speak through Kinect, so talking
with randoms or in lobbies is a no go. You need a mic on a headset for that, either the one that came with your xbox one, or a 3rd party headset that you buy the Microsoft puck adapter for.

I do not know about the other two games as I don't have either one. Good luck.

 

with battlefield 4 you need to go into your settings and enable Kinect for chat. Ghosts MADE it so the Kinect would not be able to be used for in game chat thankfully. However, using your Kinect to chat in most shooters, people will mute you, due to the
fact that the Kinect picks up ALL background noise, not just your voice.

 

Okay, I would see as to why they would do that but they just updated it to change the sensitivity of the Kinect's microphone so you wouldn't hear the background so bad. So far I know KI and BF4 along with party chat work with the Kinect's microphone.
