My kinect goes into sleep mode and don't turn back on

My kinect does not work. I did a hard reset with the kinect unplugged.it started working for 10 minutes then it turned off. Any idea of how to fix it? The kinect is working fine for the 10min. When I play games like Kinect sports it magically works but only
in the game. Will the software update fix this issue?

I'm wondering if the rumors about the controller using the Kinect to send/receive the signals has to with the low power sleep state / instant on feature? They did say that when your controller goes into the sleep state all you have to do is pick it up and
it instantly turns back on, no more re-synching. I don't remember seeing or hearing about any components inside the controller that would do that such as a gyroscope. I'm just curious if there is an actual technical reason why the Kinect needs to be plugged
in

 

Download & Sleep-Mode Question

I'm overseeing a titanic (1.52GB) download. I've noticed that if I don't do anything for more than five minutes, my 360 goes into what I'm guessing is Sleep Mode. My question us thus: will the download continue to progress while in Sleep Mode (i.e., it goes
to Sleep at 20%, and in two hours I wake it back up by wiggling the control stick and now it's at 75%), or will I have to constantly wiggle the thumbstick every three minutes to keep my machine awake for the whole download?

 

It works now. Did another hard reset.

 

It's happening again. The kinect don't want to wake up!

 

I am also seeing this issue. I tried hard resets or unplug and replug but eventually it goes back to sleep again.

I am pretty sure this is related to the latest updates (maybe shutting down the USB ports). The Xbox One S uses a powered adapter for linking with Kinect so shutting down the port doesn't shutdown Kinect.

But further investigation and analysis I am willing to help do if needed.
