    My Kinect can hear me, but I can`t use voice commands.


    My Kinect are able to hear me, but it won`t respond to voice commands. I tried my Kinect with Skype, and I were able to speak with others, so the microphone isn`t faulty. But my problem is that it won`t respond to voice commands like "Xbox On", "Xbox go
    home" ....

    Any idea what`s wrong?

    Ki nect microphones not picking up voice

    So my kinect works fine with voice commands meaning it picks up all voice commands but when in a party or voice chat the other person cannot hear me . Did kinect video chat and video was fine but same person could not hear me and I could not hear them.
    I'm at a loss, has to be a setting somewhere.

    I can't be heard by online gamers thru my Kinects. It hears my voice commands just fine. I can hear others online.

    Xbox Video -- No Play Button?

    Do you have a kinect? Maybe try the voice commands. Sometimes my video apps do that and I have to hope my kinect can hear me lol. Or sometimes I have to delete the app and redownload it to get it to work. Little glitches can be frustrating. :)

    Okay, so I don't think there is a way to just turn off voice commands but you can turn off the kinect. say "Xbox, go to settings" and go to the kinect settings and you can turn it off. That or you could wear a headset and then other players voices won't
    be going through the tv and you can still have voice commands and hear the other players.

    You can turn the kinect microphone off for chatting online under settings.....i did that so nobody can hear people in the background at my house....also it does not effect the voice commands to the kinect you just cant use it to talk to anyone while playing
    a game.

    Personally, I think having voice commands activated via headset is a bad idea, as someone like me (being hearing-impaired can't really use it effectively). I think it would be a better idea to keep voice commands with the Kinect sensor, or perhaps to release
    a much cheaper, camera-less version of the Kinect.
