My kid created an activation key on his account but forgot what it was... How do I remove it?!!

I forgot to mention, my son gave log in details, and my phone number was removed and so too was my email address linked to his account, I got the email telling me my phone number had been removed, now his proper email is not linked to his account. What
do we do?

Thinking about this more.....are you suggesting that he might have created a separate gaming account under his own Microsoft account and what you think he is doing is switching to that account once the limited account times out ?

Are you saying that this can be done from his child account without any notification to the parent account ?

Is this not visible from the Microsoft family account view on the web that I am looking at ?

Yes, that's what it looks like from the graph.

If he created another account it will not be seen under your family group unless it has been manually added to the family group.

If there is, please remove the account(s) (if you don't pay for anything on it). See

To prevent this do the following:

"Prevent kids from creating new accounts that aren't part of your Microsoft family (or subject to screen time limits):

• On your Xbox, press the Xbox button, then select System >
  Settings > System > Signed-out content restrictions. Then create a guest key and turn off
  Let people download & make new accounts. From then on, you'll need a guest key to add new accounts."

What kids may do is to create another account without you knowing and use the My Home Xbox feature to have the gold and access to games on the new account to get around your time limits. But with the graph you may have found out that he's doing this - if
it's not glitched.

I've tried removing / adding back the account. I've tried to reset the console, and start the setup anew. I've tried to create a new account, and add to the console, but nothing works - xbox just does not report any activity.

I also tried to use a mobile hotspot to see if it is maybe network related, but it still did not report activity for any of the kids account.

What's interesting is, that the screen time restriction works, meaning their account will lock down after the allowed time, it's just I'm not seeing their activity in any of the applications / websites for this (family safety, xbox family, etc).

I then activated the activity report so that it should send me a periodic email, but do you think I could also see that activities in real time on the web?

my meaning is to check, when I'm not at home, if my child is connected to the xbox and also, if possible, to check what game is active (and since how much time)
