my kid can log into his xbox one account but can't on his 360

its the same account, for some reason he can come downstairs log onto one, but if he tries to log on to his 360 it says he needs a live account??? anyone having this problem

Cannot download/log into profile on 360, works on web and Xbox One

I have two child accounts under my parent account. One son had his password changed yesterday, and now he cannot log into the Xbox 360. He keeps getting an error that his password is wrong. He can log into the Xbox One and had to put in his new password.
He can log into the Xbox.com website. His new Surface allows him to log in with the password. But the 360 won'. I have multiple 360s, and the cannot log into any of them. I also tried deleting his profile and downloading it again, but it says his password
is wrong.

Also, when I go to the Family tab under Settings on the 360, I see both my sons accounts. With one son, I can press A and see his MS balance and other settings. This son can log in fine on the 360. For the other son, it won't let me press A. It shows his
gamertag, Gamer Score, and Avatar, but I can only Press B.

Do I need to remove him from my family account and re-add him? Or have the password changes *** something else up?

Sorry to hear it. Is he getting any kind of error code at all?

On the One, with your son signed in, can he go to the left to open the slide-in guide, then to the cogwheel symbol and under account check what Microsoft Account email he is using?

Make note if it's the same email he is trying to use on the 360.

Additionally, have him sign in with the email at the
page for account security.

Check if his account is protected by Two Step Verification. If his account IS IN FACT PROTECTED by Two Step Verification, your son needs to create a so called "App Password" further down on that page, as the Xbox 360 can't (yet) work with the code request
for Two Step Verification.

After your son created an App Password, use THAT password instead of his "regular" password.
