My internal wireless router is messed up.

Stupid Question but advice is appreciated

If your having trouble with anything then theres stuff you can do but if its working great I wouldnt mess with it.
Wireless with their stuff is usually not great though. Did they set ur internet up with Coax or ethernet to the router/modem?Click to expand...

17 days and no xbox live

My router is Netopia 2247-02 and i use the Xbox360s internal wireless adapter.

Sorry to hear about the hardware trouble. If you haven't already, I suggest a quick power cycle to see if there's any change. If you're still having trouble a Factory Reset may be worth trying.

If the above two steps don't help, does the message mention a repair would be needed? If so, I'm afraid you'll need to set up a repair for your Xbox One to correct the issue.

Hi,

Which adapter are you using? The external N adapter or internal one (the internal one does not support 5Ghz) there certainly were issues with that router for the Internet adapter

I have been reading many issues about wireless not working. Please try it with the ethernet, you should buy a new adapter. Sometimes the internal memory get's lost and the drivers mess up.

It has been this way ever since the Xbox360S was released, it varies from router to router but most routers will not support WEP with the Internal 360 adapter in N mode because WEP isn't supported under Wireless N. Its more like the other way around, if
your router will support the Internal adapter in N mode with WEP your in the minority.

I'm not saying that since the update you need to switch, it has always been this way, the best set-up for the Internal 360 adapter with Wireless N (or the external N adapter) is WPA2-PSK(AES)
