    My Home Xbox


    Im in college and my ex roommate has gotten my account info and has been using my account. I changed the password but i cant make my profile the home xbox account on the setting. says something like "only change 3 times a year." but i only have had one console.
    And i know he has my account on his xbox because it signed me out once, so i changed my password but he still can get on at any time and sign me out because he made my account his home xbox. I have games i have payed for and he is playing them for free. I
    know this is called theft! so could u please do something about it.

    On his Xbox my GT is set up already as My Home Xbox, and his GT is already set up as My Home Xbox on my Xbox...

    Not much of a friend if he is using your account without your permission as it risks having your gamertag and console banned from live. There are two things you can try here.

    1. Try the steps at this link. It says it can remotely remove the password from the 360 but may work for the Xbox One as well.

    support.xbox.com/.../password-protect-account

    2. Contact phone support and open an unauthorized access claim. This is a last resort effort as it would lock out the account for both of you until the issue is resolved.

    I am also having almost the same problem, but I don't know who the person is that had my account info and now has there xbox one set as MY home xbox... I haven't been successful at fixing this issue yet, but I haven't called phone support yet either. If
    I can't figure out how to fix this soon I will be calling phone support, I just dont want to be locked out of my own account because of some other a-hole My Home Xbox :(

    How long will I be locked out of my account? I can prove its my account so why should i be locked out. Microsoft should have a solution for this, If i change my password it should make anyone who has the old password sign in with the new password! but nooooo
    they have to make everything hard.

    P.S

    he wasnt a friend just a assigned roommate at my college.

    If you have already used the 5 allotted home Xbox changes with in the past 12 months you will have to wait. You can try contacting official support but there's no guarantee they will be able to assist you.
