My home Xbox refuses to enable.

So basically I want to play games offline due to my internet not being the greatest thing in the world but whenever I attempt to it gives me the "you need to be online" message and it tells me to enable my home Xbox. I navigate to that menu press the button to enable it, it loads for about maybe 30 seconds and then nothing happens and it still gives me the "you need to be online" message when trying to launch games offline. I've consulted the Xbox discord about this and they have no idea whats wrong with it sois my console just messed up or something?

So I tried this, still the same problem, would you guys be able to enable it remotely or something? (the series s is the only xbox system I own so its not a problem of having to deselect another console)

I understand you need help on your Xbox problem. Let's check that out.

First, try to reset the console to see if this helps.

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

Once done, do the home Xbox thing again and make sure you are connected to the internet.

Try going offline again and play your games. Hope that helps!

Ok so it turns out the home xbox is checked now so I guess the double NAT thing didn't matter, ill test it now to see if it actually works, either way thanks man.

Your console does not have any option for remote access.

Please Go to Settings:

> Network

> Network Settings

> Advanced Settings.

Select the alternate MAC address and then select delete/clear.

You must restart the console for the change to take effect.

And please do this:

Set DNS manually. To manually configure DNS settings, follow the steps below:

1.- Go to Settings

2.- Select Network

3.- Select Network Settings

4.- Select Advanced network settings.

5.- Go to DNS Servers, set it to Manual> enter 8.8.8.8 in the 'Primary' field and 8.8.4.4 in 'Secondary'

After this, open the Settings app on your Xbox.

Select the Network tab.

Select the Test NAT type tile.

It should show open.
