My home xbox problem on xbox one.

I just got an xbox one and I have downloaded some xbox backward compatible games. One of my family members could not play my games so I went to the settings and made it my home xbox. The next day later they could not play again, so I checked to make sure
that the xbox was my home xbox but it was not. I pressed the make this my home xbox thing but it suddenly says I have already switched my home xbox 5 times. That was my first xbox one so I don't know how I used all 5 of my tries. Is there any way to reset
the counter?

On his Xbox my GT is set up already as My Home Xbox, and his GT is already set up as My Home Xbox on my Xbox...Click to expand... That's your problem. His account needs to me set for the same xbox as yours is, not the opposite.

My home xbox problem

So a buddy gave me his account so we could console share I added to my home xbox and it worked fine. He switched back and now I try and add him and it says that you can only move an account 3 times a year. He says he only shared with me and now I can't even
move my own account to my home xbox because I get the same message cam anyone help me out?

Exactly what Galactic said. I have two xbox ones set up this way and have ZERO problems when my kids use my xbox one and not my Home xbox and also when kids use home xbox. (both have Kinect)

So you installed via the disc and downloaded the converted copy normally? Do other backwards compatibility games have this problem?

Some causes I could think of is that this digital game requires you be on your my home xbox when offline or the game actually requires an internet connection. So setting your console you're on to be the my home xbox console of your account could fix this
problem.

please try the manual power cycle steps like mentioned on the following link, be sure to wait at least 60 seconds before powering on again:

then run a network test and if all is succesful try setting the console as Home again.
