My Home XboX not sharing everything

Hello, I had an XboX One for a few years now and I had been sharing everything with the family. Lately I bought an XboX One Slim and designated it as my new Home XboX. My son and I have been playing Destiny 2 and he had acess to the game and its DLC expansion
that just came out. But when he plays Destiny 2 on the new Home XboX the game tells him he must purchase the DLC. Why is that?

Xbox Home Gold Sharing problem

My roommate recently got his hands on an Xbox one and I figured I'd use the game sharing feature to allow him to play some of my games to get him started. The game sharing works fine, the games are downloading as we speak, however, I also noticed you were
suppose to be able to share your Xbox live with another account assuming you set the console as the home console.

I tried to do this for him but could not get it to work, I looked at my account and gold sharing is on and when I tried to click "stop sharing" to see if I could get it to work, it brought me to the home console option and only allowed me to click "This
is not my home Xbox."

What could be going wrong that is allowing me to not share my gold with him? Everything I looked up said it should just work as long as the home console is set and sharing is on...

Yes, this will work - Game Sharing is not region locked.

Have you installed the DLC on the new xbox?

to make sure that it was installed go into My games & apps with the account that purchased the DLC and highlight the game hit the menu/start button on the controller and go down to manage game and that will show you any DLC that is owned by that profile
and if it is installed or not and will give you option to install from that screen.

 

Well that did it. I had already pre-intalled Destiny, then when I replugged the XboX I had to update Destiny which was after the DLC came out so I assumed it was done.
