My Home Xbox Limitations

I don't want to wait a year to be able to change "my home Xbox". Recently my house got broken into and all of my valuables were stolen. including my Xbox One. I'm not going to get into it because it's a long story, but I recently got my stuff back. So I got
on my Xbox and went to check if everything was still the same. but the person that stole my Xbox had maxed out the limit to changing "my home Xbox", and now I can't play any of my games because they are all on my brothers account. I am going through some tough
times lately and I really just want something to take my mind off of it. I would really appreciate it if Microsoft could do something about this.

I have the same problem with my Brother when he accesses his Xbox 360, it just kicks me out. This could simply be a limitation of a low speed Home Network.

How many profiles/members can I have in my Xbox One family?

On Xbox ONE, there only needs to be 1 xbox profile on there that has Xbox Live Gold. Up to 9 other profiles on that console can be added and use the Gold beneifts that the Home profile uses with no limitations unless of course you want to set limitations
for kids and things of that nature.

I would recommend you contact Xbox support directly and explain the situation hopefully they will be able to assist with this issue and allow you to set your home console.

The other comment is most correct but my question is based on circumstances outside of the stolen Xbox.

Do you not have a password to access your gamertag?

Do you not have security settings so that no changes can be made without a second password using the controller button presses?

My first suggestion is to lock down your profile and change both your password and email address assigned to your account.

Next, call support but it's impossible for someone else to use your home Xbox one changes unless they have both your email address, and Microsoft password which isn't available from a theft.

Just keep that in mind when talking to support as some of this will fall to you and they may opt not to unlock this.

You can try contacting support
https://support.xbox.com/en-GB/contact-us & they may reset the limit but are under no obligation to do so.

If not then you'll have to wait 12 months.

If you want that counter reset then you will have to contact support directly as they are the only ones that can do it. Keep in mind since there is a 3 change per year limit they are not obligated to do it but definitely worth a try.

You can play your games at any time when signed into the account that has purchased them if you wish to play offline (digitally) then the console would require the home Xbox function.

If you get the three (3) times per year message then you would need to wait 364 days. If you believe this to be a error contact support via phone call or online chat.
