my home xbox issue.

so my roommate and I game share, she just got a new xbox one s. So i went to change my home xbox to it and it wont let me. It says "You can have one home xbox at a time and can switch up to three times a year." I don't believe I have switched more then once,
and I have made sure that her previous xbox no longer has it set as "my home xbox" for my gamertag. Anybody got any ideas on how to fix this?

My Xbox Home Issue

So I have my Xbox Live account link to 3 different systems. Me & my youngest brother under the same roof & another away at college. Everytime my brother in college try to play a game I've downloaded on my account it tells him he can't play because it's not
his game. My account currently isn't under my home but it's home on their xboxs. So is there a way my account can stay home on his system without him having to switch every other day & not waste my limit usage?

No, you can't get arount it as its a safeguard to prevent unautorized account/game sharing.. in order for your brother to access your games and content without being logged into your account the console he plays on has to be set as your "home console/xbox"
the three switches per year is to prevent unautorized use of the feature.. as I understand it the home console function is meant to allow sharing of games/content by people living under the same roof.. I would not recomend trying to work around this by giving
your brother access to your live account as this would fall under the term "account sharing" which is against the tou & coc and will result in an account and/or console ban.

The first time you set the console as home is considered the first time, not the first time you switch it. On the 12 month anniversary of setting the console as home, you'll get the option back. Our chat/phone team can explain it more in depth, so you might
want to get in touch with them about it.

You may need to sign in with the account on the console just to refresh the games maybe ?

According to the explanation you have provided, I believe you will only need to follow those simple steps that I will provide you with and your issue should be fixed.

The first step you will need to follow is to ensure that your home console is set up correctly, so please follow the link bellow:

Designate a home Xbox | Xbox Support

After you make sure that the account you have the subscription is set up correctly please sign out or switch profile, then sign in with the account that does not own the subscription.

The second step is to make sure that you are signed in with two different profiles.

Please make sure that the profile that does not own the subscription is the one signed in on the console you made the home xbox. As for the account that owns the subscription can be signed on the other console.
