My home Xbox is bugged.

We appreciate your coming to the Xbox community, and we're sorry you're experiencing this issue.

You can set a console as home up to 5 times a year, unfortunately, if you've used all the switches you won't be able to set it again until after this time determined by Microsoft. Anyway if you believe you didn't use all the switches you may be doing the following.

Note Customer support cannot offer additional switches. If your console shows you’ve made five Xbox home switches for the year and you need assistance, select Help when you see the message, Can’t make this Xbox home. You may be eligible to receive an exception.

You can also get help with your Xbox home in Xbox Assist. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, select System > Xbox Assist, choose My Xbox Assist > Search, and then enter My Home Xbox.

Same here, they pretty much told Me I’m [mod removed] out of luck and basically have to wait til. The 1st time i ever switched the home Xbox one so basically i wasted half the money for madden and cod and a few other games smh so sickening. They said they don’t have the authority to overwrite it

Please access Settings > Network Settings > Advanced Settings > Alternate Mac Address > Clear it and the console should restart. It would definitely help if you could restart the internet router while the console is restarting.

After going through the troubleshooting steps mentioned, I invite you to perform a quick power cycle by turning off the console and then unplugging all the cables. After 2 to 3 minutes, re-plug them back again, then restart your console.

In case the issue still persists, the next step would be to perform a reset on the console. To do so you will need to follow the steps below to perform a reset on the Xbox :

Settings > System > Console Info > Reset This Xbox > Reset and Keep my Games and Apps.

Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email addresses as well as the passwords of your accounts before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the accounts. The reset will remove the home-sharing so please keep in mind that you will need to home share again if you decide to go for it.

there is a misunderstanding that sharing account details is something that is allowed, while in fact it is not, please be aware that using other people their account on your own console can be seen as Account theft as mentioned in the following segment from
the enforcement pages:

What are some examples of account theft?
There are a number of situations that are considered to be account theft. Some of these include, but are not limited to:

• Buying an account
• Using an account on your console that wasn’t created by you or your parent or legal guardian
• Making purchases with an account that wasn’t created by you or your parent or legal guardian
• Performing a license transfer on an account that wasn’t created by you or your parent or legal guardian
