My Home Xbox and Games + Family Pack

Ok just bear with me on this, it will be about 3 different users. To make things easy I just did this

Person 1: Home Xbox

Person 2: Home Xbox is Person 1

Person 3: Home Xbox is Person 1

Scenario 1

Person 1 buys and downloads Call of Duty: Ghosts.

Person 2 + 3 can come over and play it as well on that console

Scenario 2

Person 1 downloads Ghosts on Person 2 or 3s Xbox since he purchased it

Person 1 + 2 + 3 can all play it

Scenario 3

All three people are in a family pack

?????

Can Person 1 purchase something and Person 2 + 3 can play it on theirs since they are in a family pack?

Which one of these Scenarios is true? I have a family pack and was wondering if my brother can play Ghosts on his Xbox if i bought it since we are in a family pack even if his home xbox is on mine. Also does my home xbox mean you get updates as well or what?

Family pack

I am in the same boat. 3 kids, 2 Xbox 360's and an Xbox One. Now the kids and I can't play games on the 360 without coughing up $240. Admittedly, the Home Gold feature on the Xbox One, while not equivalent, offers a comparable value. However, for 360
owners, this is blackmail and completely unfair.

While I may have signed my rights away in the code of conduct, I can still write a letter to my attorney general and congressional members and ask them to investigate whether this is fair business practice. I can also abandon my Xbox One. Why buy games
for it, if some day Microsoft is going to take them away or charge me excessive amount to play them?

Does anyone know if there are any online petitions to re-instate the family pack or bring Home Gold to the 360?

Scenario 1 = True

Scenario 2 = True as long as person 1 is signed into live.

Scenario 3 = Irrelevant, I don't know what family pack you refer to, but it changes nothing.

Digital Xbox 1 purchases can be played by the purchasing account, on any console when that account is signed into live, and anyone else can play it on any other account provided the purchasing user is signed into live on that console.

ANY account can play the game on the purchasers home xbox, irrespective of if he is signed in or not.

Hey Plastics- ngocphi is correct. All accounts on a Family Pack must be located in the same region as the primary account. From the Family Pack FAQ:

Q: If someone leaves the household – for example a child who leaves for college – will they still be a part of my Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack?

A: Yes, if a Family Pack member leaves home to go to college, they can simply recover their account on a different console and will still remain a part of the Xbox LIVE Gold Family Pack, as long as they reside in the same country as the primary account
holder.

The family Gold subscription was discontinued earlier this year. The "Home Gold" feature will be released for Xbox One which will allow all profiles on a "home" console with a Gold subscription to access Gold features at the cost of just one subscription.

No, the Family Pack has been discontinued. If you have an Xbox One you can use Home Gold though.

I've heard rumors they're working on a way to bring the Home Gold feature to the Xbox 360 as well, but I haven't heard anything official yet. The Home Gold feature is great for families who share only one console, but it's still no replacement for the multi-console
function of the former Family Pack. Hoping they bring Family Pack back for multi-console households, 360 and One alike.

They didn't do it to force people to upgrade. As far as I can tell, it had to do with security. People were exploiting Family Pack functionality to funnel money out of other people's credit cards into dummy accounts through Family Pack's allowance feature.
I think, if they're going to bring a new Family Pack back, they'll likely have to use single-IP restrictions, so Family Packs can't cover multiple households, just single households with multiple consoles.
