I had this problem last year i was told by someone you can only change your home settings i think 5 times a year and so i just waited for it to reset you could try support but as next year being close id just wait.

Thanks for posting on the Xbox forums. We understand that you are interested in learning more about

the home console feature and why your son's home console is getting removed constantly. The home console profile can only be applied to one Xbox at a time. If your son provided his account to a friend in order to share games, the friend will not have access
to those games if you set your son's console as the home console. If the account was left unprotected on the friend's console, your son's friend could log in to your son's account and switch it back. We recommend

changing the password to your son's account. This will not allow anyone else to access the account with putting in the new password. We hope this information helps

Game sharing can get you into trouble, Perhaps the friend who you are sharing has set there gamertag else where. Please try setting your own console to your own account and set things up the right way.
