    My Home Console lasts even after factory defaults/reset?


    Hello Xbox Community,

    i have a question here, if you make a full factory reset on your Xbox Series or One console and chose of course to "remove everything", will it also
    remove the Home console designation? So in other words if i boot the Xbox after the reset and add ANOTHER account on the console, will that other account me able to get all of my digital games, subscriptions etc ?

    If that is the case, that means that in order to remove that xbox from being My Home Xbox, i need to
    make a NEW XBOX as my Home Console?

    Major problem with xbox

    Resetting your console to its factory defaults should be used as last resort for it erases all accounts, saved games, settings, and home Xbox associations. Anything not synchronized with Xbox Live will be lost, yet sometimes it solves hard disc issues.

    I can put my account as home on any console and just remove my account from the console, it won't remove the account as home until I put it on another console or reset the console to factory defaults. If you want, you can reset the console to factory defaults, this will remove all accounts that are logged in and are home on your console.

    I cant even. Select settings button because it cant even complete initial set up. Is there a factory reset button on console?
    Follow the steps in this support page, Reset console to factory defaults.

    Just to add, if you have a good network connection, doing a Offline System Update (OSU), would be a last resort for me.

    The Factory reset steps outlined in the link above should correct your issue without resorting to the USB (OSU) method, in my opinion.
