My home console got changed by itself

So I couldn't play multiplayer anymore. I was denied access and privileges. I realized that my second account became the primary account when it wasn't suppose to be. My brothers account is the home console account and he has gold but that's no longer the
case. I unlinked my second account from the Xbox since it wasn't suppose to be the home console. Now I have no multiplayer? What could it have been?

Gamertag changed by itself

-.- but i had already payed $10 to change my other one this is bull...

i guess im sticking with this new gamertag () since i don't plan on wasting my money on changing crap.

Nothing stupid about it at all.Your gamertag violated the code of conduct that you agreed to when you started your account & you now have to accept the punishment.

There is no way to get that gamertag back,even if you could use it again you wouldn't get a forced name change next time,you would probably get your account banned.

If you honestly believe someone else had access to your account then you would need to phone support for your region & open an unautherised access case.

Talk to your brother

He does not need to be physically at the console to change the home console

He just needs to be on his account on another console to change the home console

If he is gamesharing then that's one of the results

You do not need to change the home console everytime you go to another console but you have to be signed in on live to use your games without setting a new home console so maybe he is gamesharing either way you need to work it out with him

Remind him he shouldn't be lending out his account or content

Home console is meant forpersonal use and family not for exchanging gamesn

It does answer it actually. Resetting your console with either option does not change your Home setting. The only way to change your Home setting is to change it through that setting itself or assign a new console as your Home.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We see you have a question on home console. You have to change the setting on the console itself. As long as they do not have your credentials, they will not be able to change

home console.

You have to either go into the settings on the console itself to change the setting, or set a new console as your Home.

If no one has access to your console, then we would recommend going to Microsoft account | Home and change your Password to your account. Please also check your Security Proofs and update them for extra security. Then try redownloading your account to the console you want to set as home.
