My home button on my controller won't work..

To be more specific, it won't work to bring up my home menu. It works to turn the system on, but after that it ceases to have any functionality. I've even tried holding it to power down the console, and it won't bring that menu up.

I've tried turning my console off and on a few times.

I've tried taking the batteries out of the controller. After putting them back in, the button worked to turn the controller on and that's all.

This is the first time I've ever had this problem. Help please?

I have the same problem. My controller is fine but the Home button won't work. I know it's not my console because I can home from the app on my phone but when I try the button on the controller it does nothing. Maybe I need to buy another controller?

Coincidentally, this problem has been sprouting throughout the Xbox One community. It is a simple one to fix just follow the instructions below as they are shown:

1. Press & hold the power button on the Xbox One console.

While holding, the console will completely shutdown. This is called a hard reset. At this stage your console is completely off and not secretly running up your electricity bill.

2. Wait 30 seconds to a minute before powering the Xbox One console on.

Just to give it a little break from your awesome gaming skills.

3. Turn on the console then unleash those monster gaming skills.
