    My headset isn't plugged in but is still connected


    I have/did have a turtle beach xl1 headset which has now broke, the problem with it is that I can't hear anything which I have tested in numerous ways... However I do have a spare headset which is a wireless xbox 360 headset. when I tried to use that, it
    wouldn't sync to the controller number 1 I was using, and I noticed that on the xbox party chat it said I had a headset already connected, is there anything I can do to solve this?

    Controller keeps registering a headset.

    I'm having a problem with my wireless controller as it keeps registering a wired headset. I have not plugged in the headset in over four months and now after I connected it the speaker icon still appears next to my gamertag in the party chat menu with no
    headset or Kinect plugged in. I can't use my Kinect to voice chat anymore since it still reads a headset. If I use a different controller the icon disappears and I can now chat with my Kinect if it is connected.



    Anyway to fix this aside from using a different controller?

    Controller issues

    My newer controller says that there is a headset connected to it, but there isn't one connected to it. I am trying to get my wireless headset connected to it but the wireless headset goes to the other controller spaces how do I fix this?

    Try syncing it with the controller then press the sync button button on the headset a few times to switch between the different controller quadrants and see if that will let you manually select the first quadrant.

    If that doesn't work the headset port on the controller may be faulty, start a party and see if it shows the mic symbol, if it is plug in a headset and move it around in the socket a bit and disconnect and reconnect it a few times to see if the symbol disappears.

    For unknown reasons sometimes if you join a party you need to, in the Party Chat menu, hit the start button, select game chat, then select the start button and select party chat... and it works.

    Why?

    Who knows but at least it does.

    Xbox One Recon 70 Gaming Headset Has Static

    Are you using an adaptor to plug your headset into? It could be a bad connection between the headset and controller. Make sure the headsets jack isn't loose, have you dropped the controlleat all recently?

    this can actually be a plug and play lead problem!! try taking the battery out of the controller and headset plug controller into the lead then connect to your xbox! then plug the headset in! then while the controller is still connected to the lead and xbox
    put the battery back in hope this helps

    On Xbox 360 there is an aux port that doesn’t look like a normal aux port, and I need to know what kind of cord it uses.

    That port was used for plugging in the Kinect Sensor. I found no other use for it until I purchased the Kinect Sensor. Not to say that there isn't any other options for it, but I didn't need it to connect to a TV or even to connect my headset to the
    console.
