    My headset is not working?


    For some odd reason, my xbox controller won't pick up my headset in the 3.5mm port. I tried using my xbox one stereo headset and it worked perfectly without any problems. I've tried re-syncing my xbox controller, updating my controller, taking the plug out
    of the socket and so much more but none of these have worked. I've looked at numerous youtube videos on how to fix this issue but none has helped me so far.

    I have many headsets with 3.5mm jacks and none are being picked up by my xbox controller...

    Also, I can't hear any sound from my monitor without my stereo headset plugged into my controller?

    Xbox has had a major update so maybe this has something to do with this?

    Please help

    I have exactly the same issue with Turtle Beach Recon 50x. I’ve tried the above and it has not worked. The volume button in the controller settings is grayed out too. I checked the headphones in my phone with a voice call and it works fine. I have the same
    issue with both controllers too. Any ideas? Thanks

    My headset is not working, headset muted?

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    Hey there!

    Sorry to hear about the party chat trouble you're having. First thing to check would be the NAT type of your Xbox One and the NAT type of the friends you're trying to chat with. If NAT types are anything than open it can cause issues, give this

    NAT Troubleshooter     a try and let us know if it helps :)

    Hold the power button on the console for 8 seconds or until the power shuts down completely. Unplug the power cord from the back of the console for 5 minutes. Plug the power cord back in and restart the console.

    I had an extensive hour + live chat with Microsoft support, where we attempted to fix the issue using several different methods. Sadly however none of them seemed to resolve the issue. The employee I spoke with told me it was a known bug that has been affecting
    people since the last Xbox One update, and that a fix should be coming for the issue with the next update. He also told me to report the issue through your console, so that the developers can know that your account is being affected so that they can be sure
    to fix it for you. I'm just going to have to wait for the issue to be hopefully resolved with the next patch, as frustrating as it is not being able to use the communication feature on my console, the main reason I got an Xbox in the first place.

    I’m working away from home at the moment so have been trying everything on the phone to my wife. We have tried 2 controllers and a new headset, we also borrowed a working controller from a friend and still had the same issue. Did wonder if the update caused
    the issue as it was working fine.
