    My headphone port on my Xbox remote isnt working


    Whenever i plug headphones into the remote (i know they are working) into my remote the sound will last between 30 seconds and 5 mins then cut out. This process resets every time i unplug and plug back in the headphones. I thought this was the remote so
    i bought a brand new one. Exact same issue with the new one. I've checked for updates onto my console and there aren't any.

    How do i fix this?

    Thanks...the headphones are Hyper X cloud Revolver. Neither remote will work with the headphones. Fyi...not sure why my user name is changed for this reply.

    Hello, the headphones has both USB and jack port, I used to jack with my controller, no adapter is needed.

    I have a USB adopter for my headphones.

    I used this USB adopter connected to my headphones plugged into my USB port on my Xbox One X.

    The USB port does not recognize my device. Another account has replied to your question with this information.

    Their is an audio port on the Xbox controllers, this port is designed for input / output audio.

    I use a microphone plugged into my headphones, sometimes.

    I tried the USB port, no Audio category was displayed on my Dashboard UI on the Profile & system section.

    I have heard and agree that USB transfers audio, as a higher quality compared to the microphone / headphones cable-prong.
